After the city of Cambridge moving rolling theirs out last fall it looks like South Cambridgeshire is moving to blue wheelie bins in order to encourage more recycling.  It’s good to see that they’re going to be accepting more type of waste as well including tetrapaks and more types of plastics.  Looks like we’ll have to wait until October for it to start though.

In case you didn’t see it in the South Cambs magazine this month, there is a project run by East of England Development Agency to encourage faster broadband services in the region. Though we are dependent on unbundling of our Madingley exchange, it still may be worth registering on the project to provide as much vocal support as possible. Recent freezing weather conditions have led to an increase in potholes across the county and teams of maintenance staff have been sent out to deal with them.  However, the County Council need your help to find the location of potholes in your area that we may not know about.  Please report Highways defects as follows and we will do our best to resolve them.

Coton Cricket Club is registered with the Cambridgeshire Cricket Board and runs an adult 1st XI and an Under-12 team.

The club is fielding teams in the following leagues in 2010:

  • Coton 1st XI: Cricket Stick CCA Junior League 3B (see www.cambsca.co.uk)
  • Coton Crusaders: Cambs Under 12s league

The club offers regular coaching for children aged 7-12.
